Sony Xperia Z4 tablet with 2K display unveiled at MWC 2015

Sony was to announce a “Slimmer. Lighter. Brighter” device and the company has unveiled the Sony Xperia Z4 tablet at MWC in Barcelona. Let us go through the specifications of the tablet.


Sony Xperia Z4 tablet Specifications

The Sony Xperia Z4 tablet features a 10.1-inch (2560 x 1600 pixels) 2K display which is powered by 2 GHz octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 32 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with tablet-optimized Xperia launcher on top.

The Xperia Z4 tablet comes with a 8 megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS sensor and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. The tablet is just 6.1 mm thick and weighs 389 grams (WiFi only) / 393 grams (WiFi + LTE). The device has a surround sound audio effect with support for Hi-Res audio playback and digital noise cancelling.

The Xperia Z4 tablet comes with 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and aGPS as connectivity options. The tablet rocks a 6,000 mAh battery under the hood which will give up to 17 hours of video playback according to Sony. It is also IP65 and IP68 certified which makes it waterproof and dust proof.

The Sony Xperia Z4 will be available from June 2015 in WiFi only and WiFi + 4G LTE variants globally. However, there is no information on the pricing yet.
