Sony Xperia Z3 gets certification in China; likely to launch at IFA

Sony has openly discussed about launching a flagship device every 6 months and looks like the next flagship from Sony, The Z3 will be unveiled at IFA 2014.

Sony Xperia Z3, the next flagship from Sony has already surfaced before online. Global variant also showed up last month. Now, TENAA has certified the Xperia Z3 L55t for China Mobile and L55u for China Unicorn. The certification of Z3 revealed its dimensions which is 146.5×72.4×7.35mm and weighs 158.4 gram. This would actually make the Z3 smaller and lighter than Sony’s Z2.

The certification also gives out the Z3’s sides to be rounded, having a dedicated camera shutter button and ports under a flap which also indicates the smartphone to be water resistant with IP55/IP58 certification. This has also revealed the specifications of the Z3 which will come with a 5.2 inch 1080p display. It will run on 2.5 Ghz quad core Snapdragon 801 (MSM8974AC) processor, which will also have Android 4.4 KitKat. The rear shooter will be a 20.7 megapixel lens and 2 megapixel front facing camera for the selies. The Z3 will come with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot.

The Sony Z3 will be shown off at the IFA 2014 event on September 3rd along with other devices like the Xperia Z3 compact, Sony Smartwatch 3 and QX30 smartphone camera lens.
