Yesterday, Sony had announced a new mid-range phablet, Xperia XA Ultra. Now, according to reports, it is heading to Canada “this summer”. It is inline with the July launch time frame, however the pricing has not been disclosed yet.
Also, other Xperia X series devices including the Xperia X Performance, Xperia X and Xperia XA are heading to Canada in the upcoming months. Lets take a look at the specifications and features of the Xperia XA Ultra, which comes with an OIS enabled selfie-camera.
Sony Xperia XA Ultra Specifications
The Sony Xperia XA Ultra features a 6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display with Mobile BRAVIA engine 2. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) (Quad 2.0 GHz + Quad 1.0 GHz) 64-bit processor along with 700 MHz Mali T860MP2 GPU. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which can also be expanded up to 200 GB via microSD card. The device runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Xperia launcher on top.
The Xperia XA Ultra comes with a 21.5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1/2.4″ Sony Exmor RS sensor, Hybrid Auto Focus. On the front, there is a 16 megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash, Sony Exmor R sensor, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), 88-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. The phablet is 8.4 mm thick and weighs 190 grams. It comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack, FM Radio with RDS and supports Dual SIM (region dependent).
The Xperia XA Ultra comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual SIM), Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and GPS as connectivity options. It rocks a 2,700 mAh battery under the hood with STAMINA mode and supports Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology. The Sony Xperia XA Ultra is available in Lime Gold, White and Black color variants.
