Sony Xperia XA Ultra with 6-inch FHD display, 21.5 MP camera to launch in India on July 25

Sony India is gearing up to launch the Xperia XA Ultra on July 25. The company has started teasing the device on its social channels. The teaser reads, “Your perfect Selfie companion, with OIS” that is accompanied by the image of a smartphone with large front camera with LED flash. The phablet was officially announced back in May. Lets check out the specifications of the device below.

The Sony Xperia XA Ultra features a 6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display with Mobile BRAVIA engine 2. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) (Quad 2.0 GHz + Quad 1.0 GHz) 64-bit processor along with 700 MHz Mali T860MP2 GPU. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which can also be expanded up to 200 GB via microSD card. The device runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Xperia launcher on top.

The Xperia XA Ultra comes with a 21.5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1/2.4″ Sony Exmor RS sensor, Hybrid Auto Focus. On the front, there is a 16 megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash, Sony Exmor R sensor, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), 88-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. The phablet is 8.4 mm thick and weighs 190 grams. It comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack, FM Radio with RDS and supports Dual SIM.

The Xperia XA Ultra comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual SIM), Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and GPS as connectivity options. It rocks a 2,700 mAh battery under the hood with STAMINA mode and supports Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology.

The Sony Xperia XA Ultra will be available in Lime Gold, White and Black color variants. We will get to know about the pricing and availability on July 25, stay tuned for the official announcement.
