Sony has announced two new smartphones in their new Xperia X series at the Mobile World Congress. They are the Sony Xperia X Performance and Xperia X. Lets check out the specifications and features of the high-end Xperia X Performance here.
Sony Xperia X Performance Specifications
The Sony Xperia X Performance features a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Triluminos display. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit 14nm processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 32 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 200 GB via microSD card. The device runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Xperia launcher on top.
The Xperia X Performance comes with a 23 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS image sensor, Predictive Hybrid AF speed of 0.03 second, f/2.0 aperture. It can shoot Full HD 1080p videos. On the front, there is a 13 megapixel front-facing camera with 1/3″ Exmor R sensor, 22 mm wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. It can also shoot Full HD 1080p videos. The smartphone is 8.7 mm thick and weighs 164 grams. The device supports Sony DSEE HX audio technology and has LDAC codec, comes with 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio with RDS. It also offers Digital Noise Cancelling and supports Dual SIM (region dependent). The smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor.
The X Performance comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, MHL 3.0 and GPS / GLONASS as connectivity options. It rocks a 2,700 mAh battery under the hood with STAMINA mode and supports Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology.
The Sony Xperia X Performance is available in Lime Gold, Rose Gold, White and Graphite Black color variants and will start rolling out from the Summer of 2016. The company did not reveal the pricing yet. The company has also announced the Sony Xperia X and Sony Xperia XA smartphones as well.
