Sony Xperia X to go on sale in UK on May 20

Sony Xperia X smartphone that was announced at MWC this year, will go on sale in the UK starting from May 20. The device can now be pre-ordered on Amazon for £549.99 (US $792 / INR Rs 52,805 approximately). It is currently available in Black and Rose Gold color variants. Sony Xperia X Specifications

The Sony Xperia X features a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Triluminos display. It is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 (Quad 1.2 GHz + 2 x 1.8 GHz) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 510 GPU. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 32 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 200 GB via microSD card. The device runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Xperia launcher on top.

The Xperia X comes with a 23 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS image sensor, Predictive Hybrid AF speed of 0.03 second, f/2.0 aperture. It can shoot Full HD 1080p videos. On the front, there is a 13 megapixel front-facing camera with 1/3″ Exmor R sensor, 22 mm wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. It can also shoot Full HD 1080p videos. The smartphone is 7.9 mm thick and weighs 153 grams. The device supports Sony DSEE HX audio technology and has LDAC codec, comes with 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio with RDS. It also offers Digital Noise Cancelling and supports Dual SIM (region dependent). The smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor.

The Xperia X comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, MHL 3.0 and GPS / GLONASS as connectivity options. It rocks a 2,900 mAh battery under the hood with STAMINA mode and supports Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology.

Also, the Sony Xperia XA smartphone will go on sale in the UK on June 10 for £279.99 (US $403 / INR Rs 26,882 approximately). It can also be pre-ordered on Amazon now.
