Sony Xperia X Dual with Snapdragon 650 SoC launched in India for Rs 48990

Sony Xperia X Dual has been officially launched in India today, along with the Xperia XA smartphone. These are the smartphones in the new ‘X Series’ that were unveiled at the MWC in February this year and also went on pre-booking in India, couple of weeks ago. Lets check out the specifications and pricing of the device.


Sony Xperia X Dual Specifications

The Sony Xperia X Dual features a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Triluminos display. It is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 (Quad 1.2 GHz + 2 x 1.8 GHz) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 510 GPU. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 32 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 200 GB via microSD card. The device runs on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Xperia launcher on top.

The Xperia X Dual comes with a 23 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS image sensor, Predictive Hybrid AF speed of 0.03 second, f/2.0 aperture. It can shoot Full HD 1080p videos. On the front, there is a 13 megapixel front-facing camera with 1/3″ Exmor R sensor, 22 mm wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. It can also shoot Full HD 1080p videos. The smartphone is 7.9 mm thick and weighs 153 grams. The device supports Sony DSEE HX audio technology and has LDAC codec, comes with 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio with RDS. It also offers Digital Noise Cancelling and supports Dual SIM (nano), as the name suggests. The smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor.

The Xperia X Dual comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (dual band) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, MHL 3.0 and GPS / GLONASS as connectivity options. It rocks a 2,900 mAh battery under the hood with STAMINA mode and supports Qnovo’s Adaptive Charging technology.


The Sony Xperia X Dual is available in Lime Gold, Rose Gold, White and Graphite Black color variants for Rs 48,990 (MRP) in India. It can now be pre-ordered exclusively via Amazon India for Rs 46,990 and at all authorized Sony mobile dealers offline. It will go on sale starting from June 7, 2016. Also, as part of the pre-booking offer, consumers would get a free SBH70 Bluetooth stereo headset worth Rs 6,990. Sony India has also launched the Xperia XA Dual for Rs 20,990.
