Sony has launched the Xperia E4 and E4 Dual which replaces the E3 and E3 Dual launched back in September last year at IFA. These smartphones will likely be showcased at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015.
Sony Xperia E4 and E4 Dual Specifications
The Sony Xperia E4 and E4 Dual features a 5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) IPS display which is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with Mali 400 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 8 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. Hopefully it will get an Android 5.0 Lollipop update as well.
The Xperia E4 and E4 Dual comes with a 5-megapixel primary rear camera with LED flash. On the front, it has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. These smartphones are 10.5 mm thick and weighs 144 grams. The E4 Dual only supports Dual SIM with new technology which will let the users set custom ringtones. It keeps both SIMs active that would ensure you never miss a call, even when talking on one of them.
The Xperia E4 and E4 Dual includes 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS as connectivity options. They pack in 2,300 mAh battery under the hood with STAMINA mode which promises up to 2 days of battery life.
The Sony Xperia E4 and E4 Dual will come in Black and White colour variants and will be available sometime in mid February. There is no information on the pricing yet.
Recently, Sony has published their earnings of third quarter. The company is rumoured to sell its mobile division and also reduce workforce in the smartphone division.
