Sony Xperia C5 Ultra (unlocked) is now available in USA

Sony Xperia C5 Ultra and C5 Ultra Dual, selfie-centric phablets was officially announced back in August. It went on sale in India as well in the same month. Now, the phablet is available in USA via third-party resellers. However, you need to buy the unlocked model as there is no option for any carrier tie-up.


The Xperia C5 Ultra Dual is available on Expansys for $319.99 whereas the Xperia C5 Ultra is selling on Amazon US for $329.99. So it turns out Amazon is selling the single SIM variant and Expansys has the Dual SIM unit. However, both of them have the white color model at the moment.

Sony Xperia C5 Ultra Specifications

The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra phablet features a 6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display which comes with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2. It is powered by 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 64-bit processor along with 700 MHz Mali 760 MP2 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 200 GB via microSD card. The device runs on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with Xperia launcher on top.


The Xperia C5 Ultra comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Exmor RS sensor, 25 mm wide-angle field of view. It can also shoot Full HD 1080p videos. On the front, there is a 13 megapixel front-facing camera with Selfie flash, Exmor RS sensor and 25 mm wide-angle field of view for selfies and video calling. The phablet is 8.2 mm thick and weighs 187 grams. The device has Dual SIM feature (only on C5 Ultra Dual) as well depending on the market, along with 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio with RDS.

The Sony Xperia C5 Ultra comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and GPS as connectivity options. It rocks a 2,930 mAh battery under the hood with STAMINA mode.
