Snapdeal opens up Meizu m2 registrations before October 12 launch

Meizu m2 smartphone that will be launched in India on October 12 is now up on Snapdeal. Consumers can now register for the device. It was announced in China back in July. It is the successor of Meizu M1, launched earlier this year.


Meizu entered India in May with the launch of M1 Note exclusively on Amazon. It was followed by the M2 Note in August. The most high-end device from Meizu in India is the MX5 that was launched by the end of August exclusively on Snapdeal. Now, m2 will become the most affordable budget smartphone from Meizu India that goes on sale on Snapdeal on October 12. The m2 is priced at CNY 599 (US $96 / INR Rs 6,150 approximately) in China. We are expecting it to be priced around Rs 6,000-7,000 in India. It is a smartphone targeted at the youth.


Meizu m2 Specifications

The Meizu m2 features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS fully laminated display, which is protected by AGC Dragontrail glass. It has a pixel density of 296 ppi. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor along with Mali T720 GPU. It has 2 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and comes with 16 GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box with Flyme 4.5 OS on top of it.

The m2 comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 5P lenses. On the front, there is a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 4P lenses for selfies and video calling. It also has FotoNotion 2.0 smart selfie enhancement and Face AE face light boost. The smartphone is 8.7 mm thick and weighs just 131 grams. It has Hybrid Dual SIM where the second SIM slot (nano) can be used to insert microSD card.

The m2 includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual band), Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS/A-GPS and GLONASS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,500 mAh battery under the hood.
