Smartron now offering flat 10% student discount on tbook, tphone and accessories

Smartron tbook, a 2-in-1 hybrid tablet was announced back in April and the Smartron tphone was unveiled in May. World famous cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is an investor in the company as well as the brand ambassador. Today, the company has launched an exclusive student discount program to help build a culture of innovation among the students by using the latest technology.

The Smartron tbook 2-in-1 convertible Windows 10 laptop, tphone and other accessories will be available for students from school to under-graduate level at a flat 10% discount. In order to get this offer, students have to apply online on Smartron Student offer page. After getting these applications, the company will review and issue a code to the student’s email ID. This discount coupon can then be redeemed to buy products on Smartron’s tstore. The Smartron tbook features a 12.2-inch (2560 x 1600) WQXGA IPS 16:9 multi-touch display that comes with oleophobic coating. It is powered by an Intel Core M processor that provides Turbo boost up to 2 GHz. It comes with 4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM and has 128 GB of internal memory (SSD) which can be expanded via microSD card. It runs on Windows 10 Home / Pro OS out of the box. It also comes with a keyboard.

The tbook rocks a 5 megapixel rear camera along with a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It is 9.5 mm thick and comes with two 1-watt stereo speakers and dual microphones.

On the connectivity front, the tbook comes with WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band) MIMO, Bluetooth, USB 3.0 (2), micro HDMI and USB Type-C (for charging). It packs in a 37Wh battery under the hood that promises up to 10 hour of battery life (web browsing).

The Smartron tphone features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED multi-touch display, that is protected by Corning Gorillas Glass 3, has a pixel density of 401 PPI and comes with Apical Assertive Display technology for excellent outdoor visibility. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (Quad 1.5 GHz ARM A53 + Quad 2.0 GHz ARM A57) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 430 GPU. It comes with 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box. It has tronx feature that will enable the users to access various unique services including – tcloud, tstore and tcare.

It rocks a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with dual LED flash, 6P lens, f/2.0 aperture and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). On the front, it has a 4 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calling. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (micro + nano / microSD), comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It weighs 149 grams only. It has superior noise cancellation technology, which has an inbuilt 4-mic array and also comes with surround sound supported by the specially designed sound chamber with DTS premium sound & DTS PlayFi.

On the connectivity front, the tphone includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1, USB Type-C and GPS. It packs in a 3,000 mAh lithium-ion polymer battery under the hood with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 support.
