Smartfren Andromax Q launched in Indonesia with Cyanogen OS 12 on board

Smartfren Andromax Q smartphone has been launched in Indonesia by Smartfren Telecom Tbk, a popular mobile operator and device maker in Jakarta. The biggest talking point of this device is that it ships with Cyanogen OS 12 on board.


Smartfren has partnered with Cyanogen Inc to bring an affordable smartphone in Indonesia which offers a lot of customization. Lets have a look at the specifications.

Smartfren Andromax Q Specifications

The Smartfren Andromax Q features a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) FWVGA IPS display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 8 GB of internal memory which is expandable via microSD card. It runs on Cyanogen OS 12 out of the box which is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. CM 12 brings App Themer which will let you apply themes on a per application level, email app powered by Boxer and many more options for ultimate customization.


The Andromax Q rocks a 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash. On the front, it has a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It has Dual SIM connectivity which supports 4G LTE on one and CDMA or GSM on the other.

The Andromax Q comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. It packs in a 1,900 mAh battery under the hood.

The Smartfren Andromax Q is available in Black and White colour variants and has been priced at Indonesian Rupiah 1,299,000 (US $98 / INR Rs 6,200 approximately).
