Sharp 507SH, the first waterproof and dustproof Android One smartphone, has been officially announced. It has been developed by Sharp in association with Google. Lets check out the specifications and features of the device below.
Sharp 507SH Specifications
The Sharp 507SH features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IGZO display, that comes with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 (Quad 1.5 GHz + Quad 1.2 GHz) processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which can also be further expanded up to 200 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box.
The 507SH comes with a 13.1 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash. On the front, there is a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It is 8.8 mm thick and weighs 135 grams. It is IPX5 / IPX8 and IP5X certified, which makes it waterproof and dustproof as well.
The Sharp 507SH includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3,010 mAh battery under the hood.
The Sharp 507SH is available in Black, Blue and White color variants. It will be available via Y! Mobile in Japan by the end of July 2016. However, there is no information on the pricing yet.
