Seagate announced new wireless Hard Drive ahead of CES 2015

Seagate has come up with a new wireless hard drive storage having a capacity if 0.5TB. This device has built-in power supply. The hard drive has On-the-Go feature which can be accessible to other devices via its Wi-Fi radio. You can also check the new SSD from Samsung in case you have missed it

seagate-wireless-hard-driveThe wireless hard drive from Seagate allows users to stream their favorite HD video content using Seagate Media app for Apple iOS, Android, Kindle Fire HD, Windows 8 tablets. The hard drive’s content can also be accessed on big screen using Apple’s Airplay, Chromecast and Roku.

The wireless device is designed for ‘streaming and offloading media from mobile devices’. The Wi-Fi radio in the devices allows a maximum of 3 device to connect simultaneously. The inbuilt battery lasts for 9 hours.

The hard drive comes in 5 color variants namely lime green, cool blue, slate gray, fire-engine red, and white. The Seagate wireless hard drive will be available this month for $129.99 from the Seagate website and through retailers like Amazon and Best Buy.
