The company has launched the Samsung Gear S in India for a price of Rs 28900, the company’s latest Gear smartwatch running Tizen-based wearable OS. The main highlight is built-in SIM card slot that lets you independently make and receive calls, without connecting to a device and also offers 3G support.
The Gear S smartwatch can be pre-ordered from their official eStore in India. We already know it has been priced at Rs 28,900 in India and now we can pre-order it by paying only Rs 1,000 and we will get an electronic pre-book coupon. It will go on sale later this week and you can use the pre-book coupon to adjust from the final pricing when you buy it from the eStore. The company promises to deliver the smartwatch in 3-5 business days once you have placed the order.
The Samsung Gear S has a 2-inch (360 x 480 pixels) curved Super AMOLED display. It is powered by 1 GHz dual-core processor. Moreover it has IP67 certification for dust and water resistance. It comes with a Heart Rate sensor to monitor your heart rate and has Bluetooth 4.1 LE. The smartwatch is backed up by 300 mAh Li-ion battery that promises up to 2 days of battery life.
The Samsung Gear S will come in Blue Black and White colour variants and has been priced at Rs 28,900 in India.
