The Samsung Gear S smartwatch which can make calls was unveiled back in August which runs on Tizen-based wearable OS. They have launched it today in India along with the Galaxy Note 4.
How good it would have been if one can make calls right from their smartwatch without connecting it to any device? Well that sounds trendy of course. The company has launched the Samsung Gear S in India for a price of Rs 28900, the company’s latest Gear smartwatch running Tizen-based wearable OS. The main highlight is built-in SIM card slot that lets you independently make and receive calls, without connecting to a device and also offers 3G support.
The Samsung Gear S has a 2-inch (360 x 480 pixels) curved Super AMOLED display. It is powered by 1 GHz dual-core processor. Moreover it has IP67 certification for dust and water resistance. It comes with a Heart Rate sensor to monitor your heart rate and has Bluetooth 4.1 LE. The smartwatch is backed up by 300 mAh Li-ion battery that promises up to 2 days of battery life.
The Samsung Gear S will come in Blue Black and White colour variants and has been priced at Rs 28,900 in India.
