How good it would have been if one can make calls right from their Smartwatch without connecting it to any device. Well that sounds trendy ofcourse. Samsung has announced the Gear S, the company’s latest Gear smartwatch running Tizen-based wearable OS. The main highlight is built-in SIM card slot that lets you interdependently make and receive calls, without connecting to a device and also offers 3G support.
The device has a 2-inch (360 x 480 pixels) curved Super AMOLED display. It is powered by 1 GHz dual-core processor. Moreover it has IP67 certification for dust and water resistance. It comes with a Heart Rate sensor to monitor your heart rate and has Bluetooth 4.1 LE. The smartwatch is backed up by 300mAh Li-ion battery that promises up to 2 days of battery life.
