Samsung will finally take the wraps off the latest Galaxy devices – the Note 5 and the S6 Edge Plus is also expected to show up, at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event on August 13.
Samsung has sent out press invites for the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 13 which will take place in New York. The company has supposedly decided to launch the next iteration of Note – the Galaxy Note 5, ahead of IFA, where it usually launches the device. The decision has been made in order to launch it ahead of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. If you also look at the invite, it points out ‘curved edges’ and it certainly reveals that Galaxy S6 Edge Plus is coming too.
Several leaks about the Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus has surfaced over the internet for the last couple of weeks. Lets go through the rumoured specifications.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus rumoured Specifications
The S6 Edge Plus will feature a 5.67-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD display with curved edges on both sides, similar to the original S6 Edge. It will be powered by Exynos 7420 processor and come with 3 GB of RAM. It is expected to rock a 16 megapixel camera, similar to the flagship Galaxy S6.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 rumoured Specifications
The Note 5 will feature a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD display. It will be powered by Exynos 7422 processor and come with 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, similar to the recently launched OnePlus 2. It is also expected to rock a 16 megapixel camera, similar to the flagship Galaxy S6.
The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event will be held at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, New York on August 13. It will start at 11:00 am ET (8:30 pm IST). The event will be live streamed by Samsung on their YouTube channel as well.
