Samsung Galaxy Tab E announced for USD 226

Samsung Galaxy Tab E has been officially announced. It is the first device which starts Series E in the tablet lineup. Lets check out the specifications.


Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6-inch Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E tablet features a 9.6-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) WVGA TFT display which is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core processor. It comes with 1.5 GB of RAM and has 8 GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and hopefully will get updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop OS soon.

On the camera front, the Galaxy Tab E comes with a 5 megapixel rear camera with auto-focus. It has a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The tablet is 8.5 mm thick and weighs 490 grams. The back side has leather-like textured finish which will supposedly offer better grip.


The Galaxy Tab E comes with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB as connectivity options. The tablet is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery under the hood.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E is available in White colour only and has been priced at NT $6990 (US $226 / INR Rs 14,500 approximately). The tablet will go on sale in Taiwan by end on June and is also expected to come to other countries soon.
