Samsung Galaxy S7 Active for AT&T in the U.S. has been finally announced today, after being leaked several times. Lets check out the specifications, features and pricing of the device now.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active features a 5.1-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD Super AMOLED display, that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 (2 x 2.1 GHz + 2 x 1.6 GHz) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. It comes with 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 200 GB via microSD card. It runs on the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with TouchWiz UI on top of it.
One the camera front, the Galaxy S7 Active rocks a 12 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.7 aperture and Smart OIS, which is also found on the Galaxy S7. The Dual pixel rear camera will take brighter and sharper images, even in low light. It comes with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.7 aperture for selfies and video calling. It comes with a fingerprint sensor and Barometer as well. It is also water and dust resistant since it is IP68 certified. As the name suggests, it has a rugged design and is also shatter-resistant. The device has also passed the U.S. Military Standard (MIL-STD) 810G tests for a ruggedized phone. However, it is missing out on the heat rate sensor. It is 9.9 mm thick and weighs 185 grams.
The Galaxy S7 Active comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS with GLONASS, USB 2.0 and NFC as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 4,000 mAh battery under the hood.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Active is available in Sandy Gold, Titanium Gray and Camo Green color variants. It is headed to AT&T in the U.S. starting from June 10, 2016. It can be purchased via contract for US $26.50 per month over a period of 30 months or $33.13 for 24 months, which comes to around $795 (INR Rs 53,154 approximately).
