Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Limited Edition launched in Korea

Samsung has launched the Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Limited Edition smartphone by collaborating with Marvel. Lets have a look at the device.


The Limited Edition Iron Man Galaxy S6 Edge comes with vibrant red and gold Iron Man-themed S6 Edge with 64GB of internal memory along with matching wireless charger and clear cover. Other specifications are same as the original variant.

The Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Limited Edition smartphone has launched in Korea first via the official online store from today (May 27) and is priced at a whopping 1,199,000 Korean Won (US $1081 / INR Rs 69,300 approximately). The company will sell only 1,000 units of this special edition variant and the serial number will be stamped on the back of the device. It is expected to land in China and Hong Kong in June.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge features a 5.1-inch (2,560 x 1440 pixels) QHD Super AMOLED dual edge display with a pixel density of 577 ppi, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by 2.1 GHz octa-core Exynos 7420 64-bit processor which will set records on benchmarks. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and has 32/64/128 GB of internal memory which cannot be expanded. It runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS. Samsung Pay with payments comes with the device after the company acquired LoopPay. It comes with fingerprint sensor similar to Apple’s TouchID and heart rate monitor.


One the camera front, the Galaxy S6 Edge rocks a 16 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash along with f/1.9 aperture and Optical Image Stabilisation. It has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. Users can click pictures with ‘Pro’ mode which has the capability to shoot images in RAW format and can also control shutter speed. Samsung has also worked with their gallery app and they have made it more user-friendly. It is 7.0 mm thick and weighs 132 grams.

The Galaxy S6 Edge comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, A-GPS, GLONASS, microUSB 2.0, infrared and NFC as connectivity options. The smartphone is powered by a 2,600 mAh non-replaceable battery under the hood with fast charging. It also comes with new wireless charging.
