Samsung Galaxy Note7 officially launched in India for Rs 59900

Samsung India has officially launched the Samsung Galaxy Note7 in India at an event in New Delhi today, as expected. The flagship phablet was unveiled at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2016 event in New York on August 2. Lets find out the Indian pricing along with the availability below.

Iris Scanner in Galaxy Note 7

The Samsung Galaxy Note7 is available in Silver Titanium, Gold Platinum and Black Onyx color variants. It has been priced at Rs 59,900 in India and will go on sale starting from September 2, 2016. If you wish to pre-book the phablet between August 22 – August 30, you can get the new Gear VR headset for an additional Rs 1,990, which is normally priced at Rs 7,290. Customers purchasing the Note7 will also get the Reliance Jio Preview offer, where the customer will get unlimited access to 4G data, voice calls and Jio Apps for 90 days.

Samsung Galaxy Note7 Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Note7 features a 5.7-inch (2560 x 1440 pixels) Quad HD AMOLED curved dual edge always-on display, that comes with a pixel density of 518 PPI. It is powered by an octa-core Exynos 8890 (Quad 2.3 GHz + Quad 1.6 GHz) 64-bit 14 nm processor / quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor (depending on the region). It comes with 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and has 64 GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 256 GB via microSD card. It runs on the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with TouchWiz UI on top of it. The device comes with 3D glass and metal design.

One the camera front, the Galaxy Note7 rocks a 12 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.7 aperture and Smart OIS. The Dual pixel rear camera is promising brighter and sharper images, even in low light. It comes with a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.7 aperture for selfies and video calling. The phablet is 7.9 mm thick and weighs 169 grams. It comes with a heart rate sensor, fingerprint sensor, Iris scanner and Barometer as well. It is also water and dust resistant since it is IP68 certified. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM (nano) where the user can swap the second SIM card to put in a microSD card.

The Galaxy Note7 comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS with GLONASS, USB Type-C and NFC as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,600 mAh battery under the hood, that supports both wired and wireless (WPC and PMA) fast charging.

Galaxy Note 7 with S Pen

The Samsung Galaxy Note7 comes with an enhanced S Pen, that has 0.7 mm tip with improved pressure sensitivity. The screen off memo will let you pin memo to the Always On Display. Smart Select will let you easily create and share GIF animations and new Air Command functions Magnify and Translate, will enable users to zoom in on the screen or convert languages with a simple hover of the S Pen.
