Samsung Galaxy J7 phablet launched in India for Rs 14999

Samsung Galaxy J7 has been launched in India, as expected. Lets have a look at the specifications of the selfie-focused phablet. The company also launched the Galaxy J5.


The Samsung Galaxy J7 features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display which is powered by a octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (1.4GHz + 1GHz) 64-bit processor with Adreno 405 GPU. It comes with 1.5GB of RAM along with 16 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD slot. The device will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box with TouchWiz UI on top of it.

On the camera front, it rocks a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and f/1.9 aperture. There is a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash and 120-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It is 7.9 mm thick and weighs 168 grams. The phablet supports Dual SIM.

On the connectivity front, it Galaxy J7 comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The phablet packs a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 is available in Black, White and Gold colour variants and has been priced at Rs 14,999. It will be sold exclusively on Flipkart from July 23. The pre-order starts from today 4PM and Samsung is throwing in a Rs 999 worth flip cover for Rs 199, as an introductory offer.

It comes with Rs 3,200 worth in-app purchase credit from GameLoft. You also get Double data for Airtel customers on 4G for 6 months and offers on Airtel’s Wynk music for Rs 594.
