Samsung Galaxy J2 has been officially announced in India. It is the latest low-end 4G LTE smartphone by the company. Lets check out the specifications and features of the new smartphone by Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy J2 Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy J2 features a 4.7-inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD Super AMOLED display that is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core Exynos 3475 processor. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 8 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box with TouchWiz on top of it.
The Galaxy J2 comes with a 5 megapixel primary rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 720p HD video recording. On the front, it has a 2 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is 8.4 mm thick and it supports Dual SIM (micro). It comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It is powered by Opera Max which has Ultra Data Saving mode and it will allow the users to allow and block individual apps from using mobile data and save data by enabling data optimization. Ultra Data Saving mode promises up to 50% saving in data across all the content and more apps and also frees up to 11% RAM.
The Samsung Galaxy J2 includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,000 mAh battery under the hood. According to the company, the phone has been developed in Samsung India’s R&D facility. It has a metallic finish on the sides and has faux leather back.
The Samsung Galaxy J2 is available in Black, White and Gold color variants and has been priced at Rs 8,490. It will go on sale from September 21 across the offline and online retail sectors in India. The company also announced their flagship devices – the Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ in India recently.
