Samsung Galaxy J1 (2016) with Super AMOLED display launched in Russia

Samsung Galaxy J1 (2016) (SM-J120) has been officially launched in Russia. It is the latest budget 4G LTE enabled smartphone which was also showcased in Dubai back in January. Lets check out the specifications of the smartphone.


Samsung Galaxy J1 (2016) Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy J1 (2016) features a 4.5-inch (800 x 480 pixels) WVGA Super AMOLED display that is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core Exynos 3475 processor along with Mali T-720 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 8 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.

The Galaxy J1 comes with a 5 megapixel primary rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and can record 720p videos. On the front, it has a 2 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. It comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack, FM Radio and supports Dual SIM. It is 8.9 mm thick and weighs 131 grams.

The Samsung Galaxy J1 (2016) includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,050 mAh battery under the hood.

The Samsung Galaxy J1 (2016) is available in Black, Gold and White color variants. There is no word on the pricing in Russia but it was priced at AED 499 (US $136 / INR Rs 9,211 approximately) in Dubai. The company has also launched the Samsung Galaxy J1 mini in Philippines and Russia.
