Samsung Galaxy J Max with 7-inch display launched in India for Rs 13400

Samsung Galaxy J Max has been officially launched in India today, along with the Galaxy J2 (2016). It is the latest phablet in the Galaxy J lineup, that comes with a massive 7-inch display. Lets check out the rest of the specifications and features of the device now.

The Samsung Galaxy J Max features a 7.0-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) WXGA TFT display, that is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor. It comes with 1.5 GB of RAM along with 16 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 200 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box with TouchWiz UI on top of it.

The S Bike mode that was introduced with the Galaxy J3 (2016), has made its way into this handset as well. It is a new mode for bikers that will let them activate pre-recorded message for all callers, motion lock feature to ensure that the rider stops before answering, urgent calls filter and more by just activating the mode by tapping on the NFC tag.

On the camera front, the Galaxy J Max rocks a 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and f/1.9 aperture. There is a 2 megapixel front-facing camera f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. It is 8.7 mm thick, supports Dual SIM (nano), comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It also has an Ultra data saving (UDS) mode, which is powered by Opera Max and it compresses cellular data across all contents.

On the connectivity front, the Galaxy J Max comes with 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The phablet packs a 4,000 mAh battery under the hood.

The Samsung Galaxy J Max is available in Gold and Black color variants. It has been priced at Rs 13,400 in India and will go on sale via online and offline retail channels starting from the end of this month (July). Airtel prepaid customers will get double data offer for 6 months worth up to Rs 4,500. Consumers will get a Samsung Bluetooth headset in-box for a convenient calling experience and enjoy a one year premium ad-free subscription of Viu, which offers unlimited Bollywood and regional movies, TV shows and webisodes besides having the largest collection of music videos.
