The metal-clad Samsung Galaxy Alpha was unveiled last month. The smartphone is based on Android 4.4.4 and powered by an Exynos processor with 4 ARM Cortex-A15 cores running at 1.8GHz and four Cortex-A7 cores running at 1.3GHz. The screen measures 4.7 inches and has a 1280 by 720 pixel resolution. This might also interest many that Samsung Galaxy Alpha has out-performed other flagship devices with its bench-mark scores.
The device also has 12-megapixel rear camera and 2.1-megapixel front camera. Samsung has installed a Finger Scanner for a secure, biometric screen locking feature and mobile payments and a built-in heart rate monitor.

Samsung Galaxy Alpha Specifications
The Galaxy Alpha features a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) Super AMOLED HD display which is powered by Exynos Octa-Core (1.8 GHz Quad A15 + 1.3 GHz Quad A7) processor. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 32 GB of internal memory which cannot be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with the latest version of the TouchWiz on top of it. Hopefully it will get an Android 5.0 Lollipop update as well.
The Galaxy Alpha comes with a 12 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash. It is also capable of recording 4K videos. On the front, it has a 2.1 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It is 6.7 mm thick and weighs 115 grams.
The Samsung Galaxy Alpha includes 4G LTE-A Cat.6, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 & 5.0 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS and NFC as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 1,860 mAh battery under the hood which supports Ultra Power Saving Mode to provide more juice through out the day.
Available in colour variants of Charcoal Black, Dazzling White, Frosted Gold, Sleek Silver and Scuba Blue, the device is priced at Rs. 39,990 in India.
