Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro with 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 652 SoC goes official

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (SM-A9100) has been officially announced today in China. It is a ‘pro’ variant of the Samsung Galaxy A9 launched last December. Lets go through the specifications of the phablet now.


Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro features a 6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 (Quad 1.8 GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.2 GHz A53) processor along with Adreno 510 GPU. It has 4 GB of RAM and comes with 32 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The phablet runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top of it.

The Galaxy A9 Pro comes with a 16 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and Optical Image stabilization (OIS). On the front, it has a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture for better selfies and video calling. It comes with the same metal and glass design that is premium like the other Galaxy flagship devices. It has a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button that supports Samsung Pay as well. It supports Dual SIM (nano).

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1, ANT+, GPS, and NFC as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a massive 5,000 mAh battery under the hood with fast charging capabilities.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is available in White, Gold and Rose Gold color variants and has been priced at CNY 3499 (US $541 / INR Rs 35,852 approximately) in China. There is no information on global roll out yet.
