Samsung Galaxy A8 officially launched in India for Rs 32500

Samsung Galaxy A8 has been officially launched in India. The latest device from Samsung in the A series was announced in China in mid July. Check out the specifications.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 features a 5.7-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super AMOLED display. It is powered by octa-core (4 x 1.8 GHz + 4 x 1.3 GHz) Exynos 5430 processor. It comes with 2 GB of RAM and has 32 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box with TouchWiz UI on top of it. It has ultra-narrow bezels with a full metal uni-body design and also packs in a fingerprint sensor on the home button.

On the camera front, the Galaxy A8 rocks a 16 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and f/1.9 aperture. It has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with 120-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. It is just 5.9 mm thick and weighs 151 grams. It supports Hybrid Dual SIM where the second slot can be used to put in the microSD card.


On the connectivity front, the Galaxy A8 comes with 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4 + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS + GLONASS. The phablet packs in a 3,050 mAh battery under the hood.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 is available in black, white and gold colour variants and has been priced at Rs 32,500. The device is on sale in India via both offline retail and online portals. Airtel customers get double data offer for 6 months.
