Samsung has officially launched the second generation of Galaxy A3, A5 and A7. We will look at the specifications and features of the Samsung Galaxy A7 2016 edition here.
Samsung Galaxy A7 2016 Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy A7 2016 features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD Super AMOLED display that is powered by a 1.6 GHz octa-core processor. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The phablet runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top of it.
The Galaxy A7 2016 comes with a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and Optical Image stabilization (OIS). On the front, it has a 5 megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture for better selfies and video calling. It is 7.3 mm thick and weighs 172 grams. It comes with the same metal and glass design that is premium like the other Galaxy flagship devices. It has a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button that supports Samsung Pay as well.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 2016 includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and NFC (UICC, eSE) as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,300 mAh battery under the hood with fast charging capabilities.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 2016 along with the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 will go on sale in China by mid-December and will expand globally by early 2016. There is no information about the pricing of these new smartphones in the Galaxy A series yet.
