Reliance LYF Wind 5 with 4G VoLTE launched in India for Rs 6599

Reliance Retail has officially launched the LYF Wind 5 smartphone in India today, after announcing the LYF Flame 6 last week. Lets go through the specifications of the device now.

The LYF Wind 5 features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, that comes with a pixel density of 294 PPI. It is powered by a 1.0 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor along with Mali-T720 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM and comes with 8 GB of internal memory, which can also be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.

The Wind 5 comes with a 8 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash. On the front, there is a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It supports Dual SIM (micro), comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM radio. It is 8.45 mm thick and weighs 137 grams.

The Wind 5 includes 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,000 mAh Lithium-ion battery under the hood, which promises up to 6.5 hours of talk time on 4G, up to 5 hours of HD video playback, up to 20 hours of audio and up to 140 hours of standby time.

The Reliance LYF Wind 5 is available in Black and White color variants. It has been priced at Rs 6,599 in India and will be sold via all channels in the country. Earlier, LYF Wind 4 and LYF Wind 6 were launched.
