Redmi 2 goes on pilot flash sale at 2PM on Flipkart in India on March 24

The recently announced Xiaomi Redmi 2 will go on sale today at 2PM exclusively on Flipkart in India. The smartphone will be up for grabs for Rs 6,999.

Unlike the Xiaomi MiPad (open sale), the Redmi 2 will go on its first ever flash sale today at 2PM on Flipkart in India. The smartphone has been priced at Rs 6,999 and has seen a lot of registrations. The Redmi 1s was the most successful product by Xiaomi in India so far. We can expect similar demand for the Redmi 2 as well.

There is no information about the number of units available for the pilot sale yet but we are expecting around 20,000-30,000 units. If you have pre-registered to buy Redmi 2, do login to Flipkart around 1:50PM or earlier to buy it exactly at 2PM. It is expected to go ‘Out of Stock’ within 2-3 seconds. However, you might want to wait for the Redmi 2 Limited Edition with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM which is coming soon in India.

We have recently compared Redmi 2 Vs Moto E 2nd Gen 3G and Redmi 2 Vs Lenovo A6000. Both the other smartphones are available on Flipkart for Rs 6,999 but the Redmi 2 emerges as a winner. Lets have a look at the specifications of the most promising budget smartphone.
