Redmi 1s goes on sale tomorrow for first 2,000 Flipkart first subscribers; 40,000 units available on September 2

Xiaomi’s budget offering, the Redmi 1s will go on sale on September 2 for Rs 5,999 for registered users. 40,000 units will be available at launch for which more than 1 lakh people have registered so far. Flipkart First subscribers has the facility to receive one day deliveries as well as enjoy exclusive offers. One of them is that the first 2,000 Flipkart First subscribers who registered for the Redmi 1s would be able to buy it without any hassle or prayer on September 1 after 2pm. The Redmi 1s will automatically be added to your cart at 2pm and you have to complete the payment and checkout before September 3 11:59 pm.

Also, do ensure you are logged in with the Flipkart First registered email ID during this time to avail the offer. Only one phone can be purchased per registered email ID to ensure everyone has a fair chance to get their hands on the Redmi 1s.


The Redmi 1s is a budget phone from Xiaomi which is priced at Rs. 5,999. It has a 4.7 inch 720P LED IPS Display with 321 ppi. It comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8228 1.6GHz processor. On the camera front, it has a 8 megapixel rear camera and 1.6 megapixel front facing camera. It comes with a 2000 mAh removable battery.

Redmi 1s has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It weighs 158 grams and is 9.9 mm in thickness. It comes with an expandable storage slot which can fit in SD cards up to 64GB. It will come preloaded with Android 4.3 JellyBean (upgradable to 4.4 Kitkat) with MIUI v5 on top. It is a dual SIM phone. You can find more about it here.

    Flipkart to charge Rs.500/- on the name of ‘Flipkart First’ subscription
    with eyewash benefits which are available only on purchases from seller
    WS Retail (seller of MI phones) … Instead of subscribing for the
    same, I have downgraded Flipkart in my conscience & I sincerely wish
    It comes down to the last ranking in online shopping portals .. hope
    MiIndia is listening & they add other online shopping portals for
