Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC based devices to hit the market this December

Qualcomm has released two reference devices, one smartphone and the other being a tablet. The devices got priced at $799 and $999 respectively.These Mobile Development Platform devices are solely for the development purpose.

Qualcomm-Snapdragon-810-smartphoneThe smartphone features a huge 6.17-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. It will have the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC with an octa-core processor, Adreno 430 GPU and a Qualcomm Hexagon V56 Digital Signal processor and a 4GB LP-DDR4 RAM. The handset features a 4K capable 13 megapixel rear camera that comes with Optical Image Stabilization and the front facing camera is a 4 megapixel version and also has a fingerprint reader at the back. It sports a 3020 mAh battery and Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0, the device has 8 microphones and features 801.11 a/b/g/n/ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.1.


On the other hand the Tablet (MDP/T) also features the same Snapdrgon 810 SoC and 4GB of RAM. The display has a 10.1-inch screen at a 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution with 64GB of on-board storage along with the option to increase it using the microSD card slot. It will be powered by a 7,560mAh powerhouse. Even the tablet has a 13MP rear camera and 4MP front facing camera. Both the devices will run on the latest version of Kitkat, i.e 4.4.4

As we mentioned earlier, the Mobile Development Platform devices are aimed for developers only and would be available for Buy during the mid December.
