Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 LTE and Snapdragon 208 processors announced

Qualcomm announced two new processors yesterday. It is the Snapdragon 200 series, which is mainly targeted for the low-budget smartphones and tablets.

The Snapdragon 200 series has two variants. Firstly, the Snapdragon 210, which is Qualcomm’s latest quad-core processor, has multimode 3G/4G LTE Advanced LTE Dual SIM. They are targeted mainly at the low-budget smartphones and tablets.

Next is the Snapdragon 208 dual-core processor. It comes with multimode 3G and supports qHD resolution displays for entry-level smartphones and tablets. Both the new processors have ARM Cortex A7 CPUs which are based on 28 nm LP process and also have Adreno 304 GPU.

  • 3G HSPA+ (up to 42 Mbps), WCDMA (3C-HSDPA, DC-HSUPA), CDMA1x, EV-DO Rev. B, TD-SCDMA and GSM/EDGE
  • Dual SIM Dual Standby
  • up to 5MP camera support, 720p HD video recording
  • Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.1 + BLE, NFC and GPS
  • Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0

These Snapdragon 210 and Snapdragon 208 SoCs will be available in first half of 2015 in low-budget devices.
