OnePlus 2 was officially announced back in July and it went on sale in India on August 11. However, one needs “invites” to purchase the smartphone and it is pretty hard to get hold of them. OnePlus and Amazon India is finally opening up the sale and you can purchase it sans “invites”.
OnePlus 2 will be up for grabs on October 12 from 12 to 1 pm and you can purchase it without “invites”. However, it stocks would be limited and are expected to be over before the stipulated one hour window. It is priced at Rs 24,999 on Amazon India. This is a great move by OnePlus since a lot of competitors has launched flagship devices during this festive season.
The OnePlus 2 will be competing against the recently announced Moto X Style and Nexus 5X in the same price range (almost). If price is no bar and we consider only new flagships, it will be up against the Gionee E8, iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, Nexus 6P and others this festive season.
