After Samsung Flow, they came up with another unique but revolutionary thing, a new 3D camera which can be utilized on the upcoming Gear VR virtual reality headset. The Korean giant calls it Project Beyond and says they designed it exclusively to capture 360 degree videos.
The unique camera looks like a hockey puck, but it actually contains about 16 side cameras with ultra-wide lenses, which have the ability to capture video footage at the rate of one giga-pixel per second. There’s a camera on top of the device to capture overhead shots.
Samsung did not reveal the product availability details, but one thing is certain – Samsung is very serious on offering great content for all its Gear VR consumers.
