Panasonic Eluga Mark with fingerprint sensor launched in India for Rs 11990

Panasonic Eluga Mark has been officially launched in India. It is the latest mid-range phablet from the company that comes with a fingerprint sensor. Lets check out the specifications of the device.


Panasonic Eluga Mark Specifications

The Panasonic Eluga Mark features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display that is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box with Panasonic FitHome UI on top of it. It also has Android for work support.

The Eluga Mark comes with a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash. It can record Full HD 1080p videos. On the front, there is a 5 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It is 8.2 mm thick and supports Dual SIM. It comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio. It has a fingerprint sensor as well where consumers can configure up to 8 fingerprints at a single point of time. We usually see up to 5 fingerprint options in most devices.

The Eluga Mark includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 2,500 mAh battery under the hood.

The Panasonic Eluga Mark is available in Metallic Grey and Royal Gold color variants and has been priced at Rs 11,990 in India. Panasonic Eluga Switch Reversible phone was the latest smartphone in the series until the release of Eluga Mark.


On the launch, Mr. Pankaj Rana, Business Head – Mobility Division, Panasonic India, said,

“With the growing use of smartphones for a wider range of high-risk activities such as access to cloud data and private information, mobile security is a top priority for users. This control-sensitive device, which achieves complex tasks with the press of a finger or a swipe of the thumb, is personalized for the user and protects the smartphone investment. We are approaching an end of the year which brings our portfolio for 2015 to a total of 16 new devices launch with a few more to come. In 2016 we would be focusing on ‘Make in India’ and 4G enabled devices by targeting international markets and regions.”
