OPPO R7 Plus high-end variant with 4GB RAM announced

OPPO R7 Plus was launched in China back in May. The company launched the phablet in India in September. Now, OPPO has announced an upgraded variant of the device that comes with 4G of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

The OPPO R7 Plus features a 6-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD AMOLED 2.5D curved display, that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The phablet is powered by 1.5 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) processor with Adreno 405 GPU. It has 4 GB of RAM and comes with 64 GB of internal memory which can be expanded via microSD card. It runs on Color OS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

It houses a 13 megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash with laser auto focus. Below the flash sits the fingerprint sensor to unlock the device. It has a Sony IMX214 sensor with f/2.2 aperture. On the front, it comes with a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture for selfies and video calling. It comes with a metal body that is 7.75 mm thick and weighs 192 grams. It comes with Hybrid Dual SIM slot where the second nano SIM slot can also be used as a microSD card slot.

The R7 Plus includes 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG as connectivity options. It houses a 4,100 mAh battery under the hood which uses OPPO’s proprietary VOOC mini rapid charging system.

The OPPO R7 Plus high-end version is available in Gold color and has been priced at CNY 2999 (US $466 / INR Rs 31,077 approximately) for the China Unicom variant and CNY 3299 (US $512 / INR Rs 34,169 approximately). It can now be pre-ordered from the official website in China and will be going on sale by the end of December.
