OPPO F1, a selfie-focused (#SelfieExpert) smartphone has been officially announced in India at an event in Mumbai on January 28. It was first launched in Vietnam and later went on pre-order in Europe. Lets go though the specifications and features of the device.
OPPO F1 Specifications
The OPPO F1 features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display that is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 (Quad 1.2 GHz Cortex A53 + Quad 1.5 GHz Cortex A53) 64-bit processor along with Adreno 405 GPU. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with the latest ColorOS 2.1 custom skin on top of it.
The F1 houses a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/2,2 aperture, which can shoot Full HD 1080p videos. On the front, it comes with a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1/4″ sensor for your selfies and video calling. The main highlight of this smartphone is its selfie camera that comes with software features like Beautify 3.0, 8 live color filters and option to use the screen as a flash light, just like iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. It has Hybrid Dual SIM (Micro + Nano) support where the second nano SIM slot can be used as a microSD card slot. It is 7.25 mm thick and weighs 134 grams.
The F1 includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone houses a 2,500 mAh battery under the hood.
The OPPO F1 is available in Rose Gold and Golden color variants and has been priced at Rs 15,990 in India. It will go on sale starting from February 1 in 8 cities that include Surat, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai and Trivandrum.

OPPO has entered into a 3-year partnership with FC Barcelona and recently announced its Official Global Partnership with International Cricket Council (ICC) for the mobile phone category for four years starting 2016.

OPPO will also expand its offline sales outlets to 35,000 and target 180+ service centers across the country. Additionally, the company has also announced a 30-day replacement period and 24-month warranty policy for every OPPO product sold across India. Hrithik Roshan and Sonam Kapoor have been brought on board as brand ambassadors for South Asia region.
