OnePlus India has once again reduced the price of its existing smartphone by Rs 2,000. This time it is the OnePlus X Onyx Edition, which was launched in October last year for Rs 16,999. Now, the compact 5-inch smartphone will be available in India for Rs 14,999 exclusively on Amazon. Last month, OnePlus 2 also became cheaper in India by Rs 2,000 and it now starts at Rs 20,999.
OnePlus X Specifications
The OnePlus X features a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor along with Adreno 330 GPU. It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on OxygenOS out of the box based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The device is made up of brushed anodized metal frame and has a glass back (Onyx version).
The smartphone rocks a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash, ISOCELL sensor, Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), f/2.2 aperture. It can only shoot Full HD 1080p videos and not 4K like the OnePlus 2. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is 6.9 mm thick and weigh 138 grams. It comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and a 1.2W front-facing speaker. It supports Dual Hybrid SIM (nano) where the second SIM slot can fit in a microSD card. The phone also retains the Alert slider button found on the OnePlus 2, to switch between No, Priority or All Notifications.
The X includes 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 2,525 mAh battery under the hood. The company has also introduced five cases made from Rosewood, Black Apricot, Bamboo, Karbon and Sandstone for the OnePlus X.
