OnePlus X to launch on October 29, specs confirmed by TENAA

OnePlus after launching the “flagship killer of 2016” will be announcing another budget smartphone dubbed as ‘OnePlus X’ on October 29.


OnePlus has shared this teaser on their social media channels to confirm the existence of OnePlus X. Also, it will be unveiled on October 29. The image has the hashtag #PowerfullyBeautiful and that indicates towards a more fashion-focused smartphone that would also be powerful enough. The event will be held in New Delhi, New York, San Francisco, London, Beijing and Jakarta. Now, lets take a look at the rumoured specifications that surfaced on TENAA.


OnePlus X rumoured Specifications

The OnePlus X will feature a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display that is protected with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. It will be powered by a 2.0 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor. It has 3 GB of RAM and come with 16 GB of internal memory which can also be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device will run on OxygenOS out of the box based on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The OnePlus X will rock a 13 megapixel rear primary camera with LED flash. It can only shoot Full HD 1080p videos and not 4K like the OnePlus 2. On the front, there will be a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens for selfies and video calling. The smartphone will be 6.9 mm thick and weigh 138 grams. It will come with a 3.5 mm audio jack and a 1.2W front-facing speaker.

The OnePlus X will include 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB Type-C port as connectivity options. The smartphone will packs in a 2,450 mAh battery under the hood.

The OnePlus X is expected to be priced around US $250 (INR Rs 16,176 approximately). We will get to know all the correct specifications and pricing on October 29 itself. Also, we would seek more clarity from OnePlus on its availability as well.
