OnePlus, a global technology startup has decided to extend warranty of smartphones in India by three months but there is a catch.
If your OnePlus One or the future OnePlus 2 or any other device from the company has service issues pending for more than 15 days, you will get a complimentary 3 months extended warranty.
As part of this initiative, all service related issues till date and henceforth pending for more than 15 working days will automatically get the extended warranty which is valid for another 3 months. This service is even valid for Indian users who purchased the One from Oneplus.net (official website).
On this announcement, Vikas Agarwal, General Manager – India, OnePlus said,
“OnePlus is committed to long-term growth in India and are investing significant resources in revamping our service offerings. While it is our constant endeavour to close most of our customer service requests within 3 days, this complementary extended warranty will compensate users in case of any unexpected delays. Our goal is to contribute to gather feedback from our users and strive to provide the best service and support than any consumer brand in the country.”
The OnePlus One took a permanent price cut and now starts at US $249 globally but the Indian pricing hasn’t been changed yet.
