OnePlus OxygenOS based on Android Lollipop coming on or before March 27

OnePlus was developing its own custom ROM based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The news is just in, OnePlus OxygenOS will be released on or before March 27, 2015.


OnePlus has just announced that its own custom ROM called OxygenOS will be released on or before March 27, 2015. It is based on Google’s latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

OnePlus One handsets now run on CyanogenMod which is also getting updated to CM 12S based on Lollipop via official OTA update. It will be released on or before March 30, 2015.

Also, there were some OS signing issue on the OnePlus One that has been resolved. The Lollipop update took a bit longer for OnePlus due to some stability and compatibility issues.

OnePlus is extremely committed to its customers, and to show how serious they are about the upcoming OnePlus OxygenOS and CM 12S updates, the company will giveaway five OnePlus One devices to their fans, if they do not release the updates within the stipulated time.

OnePlus power banks are also going on sale today in the US for US $14.99. It will soon be coming to Europe and India as well. The company is also expanding to EU countries.
