OnePlus One sale without invite on February 10 from 10am, limited stocks

OnePlus recently completed ten weeks in India after their launch and they have a small surprise for the Indian customers. The OnePlus One will be available without ‘Invite’ on Amazon India starting 10 am tomorrow (February 10).

OnePlus sells the ‘One’ via invite system and people do not like it. The company will offer the device without an invite to the Indian consumers on February 10 starting at 10 am. There will be limited stocks and we would assume it would get sold out fairly quickly.

OnePlus’ competitor Xiaomi’s Mi 4 16 GB variant will go on sale for the first time in India tomorrow at 2pm on Flipkart. So, the OnePlus One being sold without invite on the very same day is not a coincidence, it is taking the company head on. OnePlus is making sure that genuine buyers confused between One and the Mi 4 has an option of buying the OnePlus One without invite on February 10. Thus, people who might have decided to get a Mi 4 tomorrow as they don’t have an invite to buy OPO will again be swayed to buy the OnePlus One. Xiaomi also announced the availability and pricing of the Mi 4 64 GB which will go on sale on February 24 for Rs 23,999 on Flipkart.

This is an excellent strategy by the company which is also a win win situation for the consumers. They would not be forced to buy one device because the other isn’t available, at least for February 10.

OnePlus has recently announced its “2014 annual report” and has also revealed its new custom ROM named ‘OxygenOS’. More information about the custom OS on February 12, 2015.
