OnePlus, the Chinese company known for their flagship killer “OnePlus One” is eyeing the Indian market for the past few months. We got know a few days ago that OnePlus is partnering exclusively with Amazon India to sell their device in India.
Today, OnePlus has confirmed their flagship device can be purchased from Amazon India starting December 2, 2014.
We already know OnePlus would sell their smartphone through India specific ‘Invites’ and are looking to start their operation in December. The company also announced it would be providing customer support and warranty to existing Indian customers. An Indian consumer who bought the global version of OnePlus One from their official site, will be provided service for their devices.
On this occasion, Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus commented,
“Our company focuses on our users and our product. We want to provide the best possible experience for our Indian users who have been so supportive of our vision. To do that, we are investing in our Indian operations and partnering with the fastest growing and most admirable e-commerce company in the market, Amaon.in”
The accessories will also be available exclusively via Amazon India. Vikas Agarwal, General Manager of OnePlus India, would be setting up an infrastructure where they will offer localized service, walk-in support to users around the country.
We have come to know that OnePlus One 16 GB variant will be priced at Rs 21,000 and the 64 GB variant will be available for Rs 25,000, although it’s not official yet. The OnePlus One can be bought with Indian Invites only which will be distributed by Amazon India and OnePlus.
All we can say is Indian smartphone market will witness the arrival of yet another Chinese smartphone manufacturer who are known to provide ‘quality products at affordable price’, which will also ensure the Indian smartphone consumers are in for a good show.
