OnePlus has finally revealed that the OnePlus One 64 GB Sandstone Black variant will be exclusively available on Amazon India for Rs 21,999 only. That’s some aggressive pricing. Accessories are now available on Amazon.
We had published about the ‘Cyanogen Inc ditching OnePlus in India to form an exclusive partnership with Micromax, but it is not a major concern.’ With a super aggressive pricing, there is no doubt people who were looking to get this ‘Flagship Killer’, won’t be holding back anymore. We believe Cyanogen back stabbing OnePlus is a blessing in disguise for the future, which will make OnePlus better and stronger.
How do you buy an OnePlus One in India? You’ll need an Indian Invite which is available from the OnePlus forum and Amazon India. It is a bit hard to get initially but you will get it. There will be around 20,000 units of OnePlus One available for the initial launch and more subsequent inventories would be brought into India in the upcoming days. The phablet has been priced at Rs 21,999 exclusively available on Amazon India, which will give you a 64 GB Sandstone Black variant.
The OnePlus One phablet features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC processor . It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 64 GB of internal memory which cannot be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on CyanogenMod 11s on top of Android KitKat 4.4, but the company will shift to their own custom ROM, which will be based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, following the breakup with Cyanogen Inc in India.
The OnePlus One comes with a 13-megapixel rear auto-focus camera with dual LED flash along with a Sony Exmor BSI sensor. It is also capable of recording 4K videos. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The phablet weighs only 162 grams and is 8.9 mm thick. It is a single SIM device.
The OnePlus One includes 4G LTE/3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac (2.4 & 5 GHz), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,100 mAh battery under the hood.
The accessories are now available exclusively via Amazon India. Vikas Agarwal, General Manager of OnePlus India, would be setting up an infrastructure where they will offer localized service, walk-in support to users around the country.
