OnePlus One 16 GB Silk White launching in India soon

Today, OnePlus has announced that the OnePlus One 16 GB Silk White variant is coming soon to India. It was listed on Amazon India back in December, 2014 as we had reported, but did not go on sale yet. The company recently conducted an open sale of the phablet on Amazon India on February 10.


OnePlus One along with Amazon India launched the OnePlus One 64 GB Sandstone Black variant in India for Rs 21,999. The company will sells the phablet in India via ‘Invite-only’ system. OnePlus One 16 GB Silk White variant will also follow the same footsteps as it looks to take on the Xiaomi Mi 4 16 GB variant, which is available for Rs 19,999. OnePlus One 16 GB Silk White Specifications


The OnePlus One 16 GB Silk White phablet features a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display, which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by 2.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC processor . It has 3 GB of RAM and comes with 16 GB of internal memory which cannot be expanded via microSD card. The device runs on CyanogenMod 11s on top of Android KitKat 4.4, but the company will shift to their own custom ROM called ‘OxygenOS‘ which will be based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The OnePlus One comes with a 13-megapixel rear auto-focus camera with dual LED flash along with a Sony Exmor BSI sensor. It is also capable of recording 4K videos. On the front, it has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The phablet weighs only 162 grams and is 8.9 mm thick. It is a single SIM device.

The OnePlus One 16 GB Silk White includes 4G LTE/3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac (2.4 & 5 GHz), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC as connectivity options. The phablet packs in a 3,100 mAh battery under the hood.

The company announced the team members working on OxygenOS and also the annual report of 2014. OnePlus has also decided to hold open sale without invite every Tuesdays globally.

OnePlus did not reveal the pricing of the 16 GB variant yet but we think it would be priced around Rs 18,000-19,000 to give it an edge over the Mi 4. If you are interested to buy this device, do fill up this form to stand a chance to win an invite.
