OnePlus 3 could pack a 3500mAh battery with VOOC Flash Charge support

The specifications of the upcoming “flagship killer”, the OnePlus 3 codenamed Rain had surfaced on AnTuTu, Geekbench and GFXBench earlier. Now, according to a report in China, the smartphone will likely pack in a 3,500mAh battery under the hood and according to another report, it could support OPPO’s VOOC Flash Charge, however, the phone is expected to feature Snapdragon 820 chipset with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. Lets check out the rumoured specifications of the device.

The OnePlus 3 will feature a 5.2 or 5.5 inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display. It will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. It will come with 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32 GB of internal memory / 6 GB of LPDD4 RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, which might be expandable with the inclusion of Hybrid Dual SIM slot. The device will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box with Oxygen OS on top of it.

The smartphone will rock a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), Laser Auto Focus. It can shoot 4K videos as well. On the front, there will be a 8 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It will support Dual SIM (hybrid likely) and come with a 3.5 mm audio jack. It will pack in a fingerprint sensor on the Home Button, like the OnePlus 2.

The device will include 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 & 5 GHz dual band), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C as connectivity options. It will come with a 3,500 mAh battery under the hood which will either support OPPO’s VOOC Flash Charge or Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.

The OnePlus 3 is rumoured to be priced at CNY 1999 (US $307 / INR Rs 20,462 approximately) for the 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM model whereas the 6GB RAM and 64GB ROM combination will supposedly be priced at CNY 2499 (US $384 / INR Rs 25,580 approximately). It will launch by the end of May or June.
