OnePlus has already declared that their upcoming flagship smartphone will be officially announced in a VR event internationally on June 14. However, the company has decided to put up 1000 units of the OnePlus 3 for flash sale in China on June 6, ahead of the official launch in the country, which will take place at 10 AM on June 15.
1000 units of the OnePlus 3 will go on flash sale at 10 AM (China time) on June 6. The device has been priced at CNY 2999 (US $457 / INR Rs 30,500 approximately) for this particular flash sale, however it is not the official pricing of the device. The company has stated that the official price will be revealed on the launch day itself and the devices will get shipped after that. Although, these 1000 lucky consumers will get bonus gifts worth CNY 249 (US $38 / INR Rs 2,532 approximately) and 6 months of broken screen replacement insurance worth CNY 49 (US $7 / INR Rs 498 approximately).
The OnePlus 3 will go on sale starting from June 16 and the company has finally ditched the infamous ‘invite’ system. It will also be available exclusively via the company’s Loop app during the first two hours of the launch. Open sales will start on OnePlus.net from 3 PM ET (12:30 AM IST).
The OnePlus 3 VR launch will take place on the Loop VR app for Android. It has been scheduled at 12:30 PM ET (10 PM IST) on June 14, 2016.

The OnePlus 3 will feature a 5.2 or 5.5 inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display. It will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor along with Adreno 530 GPU. It will come with 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32 GB of internal memory / 6 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64 GB of internal storage, which might be expandable with the inclusion of Hybrid Dual SIM slot. The device will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box with Oxygen OS on top of it.
The smartphone will rock a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization). It can shoot 4K videos as well. On the front, there will be a 8 megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It will support Dual SIM (hybrid likely) and come with a 3.5 mm audio jack. It will pack in a fingerprint sensor on the Home Button, like the OnePlus 2. It will also retain the alert slider button to switch between No Notifications, Priority Notifications and All Notifications.
The device will include 4G LTE with VoLTE support, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 & 5 GHz dual band), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C as connectivity options. It will come with a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood, which will either support OPPO’s VOOC Flash Charge or Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
